Build quality is one of the most important indicators when choosing a computer case. The build quality directly depends on the cost of the case – the more expensive the case, the better it is made and the better quality metal was used.

Materials used:

Aluminum – easily bends, scratches, and is expensive. Such cases are most often image cases.
steel – more reliable, protects components, and copes with vibrations. It is cheaper than aluminum. However, such cases are heavier.

Also, when choosing, you should pay attention to the fact that the design of the case should provide free access to all components, and assembly and disassembly should be easy.

The case should not have sharp edges. The required rigidity of the fasteners must be ensured.

Ventilation

Ventilation should provide the most optimal cooling for the components. Ideally, you should make sure that the coolers blow cool air from the outside in, drive it out, and bring it out heated. This kind of ventilation is mostly typical for gaming computer cases.

The recommended size of coolers is 120-250 mm, and their total number depends on the design of the case. If you choose a case for a powerful gaming computer, pay attention to the possibility of installing additional coolers.

Since the ventilation system is contaminated with small dust particles during operation, it is advisable that the case has dust filters. They help prevent dust from entering the case.

Power supply

In budget models, the power supply is included in the package, but usually its power is not enough for the entire system.

To work with office applications, it’s enough to choose a power supply with a capacity of up to 650 watts. If the computer is mainly used for gaming, then you should look for a power supply starting from 650 W and above.

The most powerful and high-quality power supplies should be purchased separately.
